Horst: Photographer of Style
It is not clear whether Horst remained in touch with his family or friends in Germany, but all along his career, Horst seemed to have forged strong links with his female models, Vogue editors and staff, fashion designers and so on. The list is long and they are all on display across the Haute Couture – Surrealist – Stage & Screen – Travel – Pattern from Nature – Studio – Fashion in Color – Living in Style – Nudes - rooms: Lyla Zelensky, Princess Karam Kapurthala, Lee Miller, Ludmila Leonidovna Feodoseya, Sonia Colmer, Helen Bennett, Cora Van Millingen, Agnetha Fisher, Lisa Fonssagrives, Salvador Dali, Luchino Visconti, Marlene Dietrich, Bette Davis (sitting in a huge prop chair),Mistinguette, Ginger Rogers, Vivien Leigh, Jessica Tandy (born in Hackney in 1909), and so on. George Hoyningen-Huene gave him his entire photography collection at his death.
